Company Description:

The Somalia Youth Livelihood Program, known as Shaqodoon, is a United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded program. This program in implemented by Education Development Center (EDC).

Shaqodoon is a new USAID funded program with the goal to provide youth living in Somalia

with a greater opportunity to access work, training, internship and self-employment

opportunities.  Shaqodoon is Somali for “jobseekers.” The purpose of the program is to

prepare and link shaqodoon with the local business community and other employers. This is

intended to add to the stability and development of the area.
