PPF is a global service provider and a leading advocate of sexual and reproductive health and rights for all. We are a worldwide movement of national organizations working with and for communities and individuals. IPPF aims to improve the quality of life of individuals by campaigning for sexual and reproductive health and rights through the provision of services and through advocacy, especially for poor and vulnerable people across the globe.

IPPF Africa Region, one of six regions, plays a key role promoting sexual and reproductive health and rights, including family planning, in sub-Saharan Africa through its network of Member Associations in 42 countries and their associated 38,000 local volunteers, who are the backbone of service implementation. We are known for leading the Maputo Plan of Action, the first continental framework for sexual and reproductive health and we continue to work with notable success with the Africa Union, regional economic commissions and the Pan African Parliament, as well as global UN bodies.
