Mildmay interventions in the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania are aimed at enabling its overstretched and under-resourced healthcare system to produce effective responses to the HIV pandemic.

The Tanzanian government recognises home-based care (HBC) as a critical tool in responding to the challenges posed by the HIV pandemic (as well as being a cost-effective way forward).

Mildmay is reinforcing this approach, working with the Ministry of Health, faith-based organisations (FBOs) and organised groups of people living with HIV.
