National Medical Stores is an autonomous Corporation that was established by the Statute of Parliament in 1993. Our mandate is to procure, store and distribute medicines and medical supplies to the public health facilities and to a lesser extent to the private health facilities as well.

Our vision is "To be the leading National Supplier of Medicines and Health Supplies to meet the needs of the Ugandan Population".

Our Mission is "To equitably provide affordable, quality medicines and medical supplies to health facilities in Uganda".
