SNV has been working in Uganda since 1989, At present, SNV Uganda has a regional concentration in Central, West Nile, Rwenzori and North East regions. In these regions, SNV focuses on impact areas of Agriculture, Basic services; including Water and Sanitation, Education and Governance issues as a means of structural poverty reduction through capacity development of Private sector organizations, Local Governments and Civil society organizations.

SNV Uganda is supporting the agricultural sector as to enable Uganda achieve the NDP and MDG targets through the increase of production, income and employment. We are focusing on oil seed, horticulture and non timber forest products sub sectors, Our advisors work collectively with producer organizations, trade associations, agencies, government and private sector to promote pro-poor value chains.
